We were delighted to welcome His Excellency the President of Sierra Leone to our Aberdeen Women’s Centre in Freetown 25 February 2019. President Bio met with our staff and patients and learned about the free healthcare we are delivering to more than 23,000 women and children every year.
The Aberdeen Women’s Centre is now the second busiest maternity hospital in Sierra Leone and treats more than 20,000 children every year in our children’s clinic. We also run the only dedicated fistula treatment clinic in Sierra Leone treating women and girls injured in childbirth, as well as victims of sexual violence and rape.
